These bose headphones are very comfortable, but personally I prefer circumaural designs (which go around your ear instead of on top of them). The pads did get a little moist after about an hour of continuous use, but I didn't really feel that I needed a break. The on/off switch is the only control, and you use your music player to adjust volume, so ease of use is not an issue. My biggest complaint, though, is one that I had with the previous model too: The headphones must be switched on and the battery kept charged in order to operate. These are major drawbacks for me, though if you're diligent about keeping the battery charged, you should be fine on even the longest flights, unless you're on a multilayover marathon. But it would be nice to be able to listen to music without noise cancellation if you should so choose.
